It's good to be home!!!!
As most of you know our family traveled to Washington for three week in February to spend time with friends and family. It was a great idea but it just didn't work out. When we got there it took a few days to adjust to the time change so we felt pretty out of it. To add to the exhaustion, our girls were having a terrible time sleeping through the night. By the third or fourth day we were starting to feel pretty good. A week into our vacation Hans went to sign on a house that he was buying (in Michigan). When he got back he said he wasn't feeling very well . . . To make a long and miserable story shorter . . . We all ended up with a very nasty flu. I can't even remember ever being that sick with just the flu. Puke and snot were everywhere.
Well that somes up our vacation. We spent almost two weeks of it with the flu . . . doing nothing. There are so many things we wanted to do and people we wanted to see and it just didn't happen. We were very much disgusted.
We returned home to 8 inches of snow. Our driver had to let us out at the street and we had to walk down our long driveway through the snow to the house. Hans broke out our snow blower (even though it was after 9:00 pm at night) to clear a path so he could bring in all our luggage that was out by the road.
We had turned our heat down to 50 while we were gone. I was concerned that we were going to freeze before the furnace would heat up the house. But after walking through 8 inches of snow in 20 degree weather, 50 didn't feel so cold.Things are starting to settle down here.
Before we left for vacation we moved to Southfield. We got the majority of our stuff unpacked and put away, but there are a few things that still need to be done. We are starting to regain our strength. It's amazing what a good nights sleep will do for you. (We didn't get to sleep much while we were on vacation thanks to our darling little Morgan!)
It's so good to be home!!!

Hey, it's great to hear you are back settling in:) It's just good to be home, even if it is way away from "home" I love seeing the pictures of your little ladies, they are getting so big! Blessings!
I would have commented yesterday but the comment thingy was down. I don't know how we get people to comment, I guess we have just been doing this for a long time and at first not very many people commented but we have a quite a few people that read our blog regularly. I guess I try not to think of it that way though, I miss people to and it's nice to hear from them. Well, I love you Nic! Have a great week:) Jen
